False news or rumors can no longer be posted on Facebook in the hope of going viral.



In the future, posting-fake news On Facebook wouldn't be so easy as it was. Because of a recent term added by Facebook. From now if a post goes viral from a Facebook account, then that account or profile will go through a verification process of the news by Facebook.

According to Facebook last Thursday, the new move is aimed at preventing the spread of fake posts or rumors. From now on, if any post, picture, or video goes viral, the ID from which the post was made will be moderated by Facebook.

Facebook also said that several accounts or profile IDs are already being moderated in the United States. Pages that do not have admin approval can no longer be posted. Until the 'verification' of the IDs is completed, nothing can be posted from that ID, account, or profile.



It is learned that Facebook is thinking of taking more drastic steps to prevent the spread of fake news or rumors through Facebook. it is not so new fact that Facebook has become a platform of information sharing with friends and family, eventually with the world. But the problem is when the information is fake or unauthorized.

Since Facebook is up for everyone, anyone can share any information through the post. But many broad-minded and bad motived people spread rumors and fake news, which sometimes gets viral, as sometimes become the reason for misleading and even conflict.

Always there was a need for moderation of fact check for containing the spread of fake news. But since Facebook has over billions of users, Facebook can't check every status the users make. But they have taken several steps throughout the years. The new moderation system is the latest one.
