I was born into a christian home and raised as one. Throughout my childhood and teenage years, I remember spending countless hours in churches and various christian assembly. I still am a devout christian and believer and lover of Christ. However, I am not one to say that my faith is without blemish or error as it surely has lots and has become a global joke. Christians have now become sheep led by leaders who do not even understand what being a leader means. Leaders who talk the talk but can't walk the talk. Leaders who go into office to chase after titles, money and fame. Gone are the days when pastors or Christian leaders go into office to make a positive difference in people's lives. Gone are the days people shy away from being a Christian leader because of the difficulty or meekness of office or how they're perceived by in public or even as a result of the little money they make. Nowadays pastors consider themselves rockstars prophesying falsely and leading people the opposite way from truth. Church now becomes a political ground with different parties and sub-parties. A place where backbiting talks and gossip flies. People become criticized and judged than encouraged. People become frustrated than growing in their faith. Church leaders are either sleeping with your wives or your children, lavishing your money or feeding you lies by remixing the bible to keep you happy. Prayers? What's that? No one does that no more. Spiritual growth and the formation of agape relationships between church members become a rare phenomenon. Christians become the first to sign up for criticism event where other religions are criticized when they are not perfect themselves. Didn't the bible say do not tell your brother to remove the beam in his eye when you have one in yours? Judge not so you are not judged. There is nothing wrong with all religion because they preach love and not hate. Good and not evil. Criticizing one while making the other seem perfect becomes the chronic issue that tears people apart and creates a global conflict. God gave us free will which allows us to be believers in the religion we choose to follow. So why am I still a christian? I'm still a christian because it is my belief and has doctrines that my being agrees with. Every religion is a belief and people's beliefs should be respected and not criticized. Christians and christian leaders should shy away from pointing fingers to other religion and fix the cracks in the foundation and walls of Christianity. We should all look in the mirror and start the change within ourselves. Love should be practiced and not just preached since the best form of evangelism is through your character and your relationships with others.
